Rotary Youth Exchanges
By sending local youth abroad for immersion in other cultures, and by welcoming foreign students to the Pine River Valley, our Rotary club does its part to impact world peace. Young people return home with innovative ideas about tackling challenges and new ways of viewing issues, along with broader horizons that can’t be achieved through other experiences. The opportunity is priceless for the students and families involved.
Germany, Spain, Turkey, Hungary, Brazil, Mexico, and Italy are some of the countries we swap students with.

Here’s part of what one of “our” kids had to say about his time in Italy:
“I would not change this year for anything. I really had no clue what I was jumping into at the start of this. I still remember the first week after the excitement and “everything is new phase” wore off and I started to panic. I was with some random family in a city where I hardly know how to introduce myself in the language. What was I doing?
That random family became my second family that I love and trust so much and that random city and language had become my life. I have definitely grown and learned so much… I am so grateful to all of you who helped me make this year possible and to all of my new friends and family.”
